Pros
- Mission-driven culture: everyone at Nexamp truly believes in the mission of clean energy, and it creates a wonderful work environment. - Management is transparent and focused on improving process: the whole company gets frequent updates about all parts of the business, even when there are delays in construction or other unexpected setbacks, including the effects of national politics. There's a continual focus on determining the root causes of problems, and adjusting strategy to improve things going forward. Additionally, there's an employee satisfaction survey that management takes very seriously. - Work-life balance: benefits include unlimited PTO, and importantly that goes along with a culture that actually encourages employees to take time off - I was able to take (significantly) more time off for the holidays within my first few months of joining than my mom was at a place she'd been working at for years. I can only speak for my team, but while we're absolutely serious about our work, it's a much more laid-back setting than other tech teams I've been on. - Hybrid work: for many roles, there's the option for hybrid or remote work. There's no quota of a number of days you're required to be in the office, and instead the idea is to try to make the office a place you actually want to come into work for - for the Boston office, at least, the space is beautiful, has plenty of desks and workstations, meeting rooms, and phone booths for calls, not to mention drinks, snacks, and regular social events.
Cons
The Product & Technology team could be more diverse. But even with that said, compared to the rest of the tech industry, it's better than average.
