Pros

The idea of seeing many technologies and how different groups and teams work. So many projects, there’s something for everyone... you would think

Cons

Why set everyone up for failure with little to no training? Many were promised training and got 0% of that. With a company so large wouldn’t it be good to invest in the new employees? Pushed on projects and carrying no skills in that particular technology? That’s what many face here

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our training program. Keeping your skills current is essential in our business. That is why we have a mixture of formal and informal hands-on training which can be adapted to different learning styles. I would encourage any Nexient employee who would like to study a new technology, develop their skills in another area such as being a Srcum Master, or another area of training to talk to his/her Nexient mentor (sometimes called “coach” or “home director”) about different options that are available.

Theres always something new to look forward to, even if none of them ever materialize. You'll never have a hard time finding a superior, as there are many more VPs in this company than are necessary. Your job is safe, there will always be others around you contributing less.

Cons

Low wages, alot of talk about big things happening with very little actual results. This company wants to grow, but isnt willing to water the seeds they sow. No training when necessary, no collaboration between teams. A lot of beurocracy for such a small company.
