Pros

Great work environment and culture. Has the benefits of a consultant/contractor type of company without all of the travel. Lots of knowledge across many platforms and technologies. Always opportunities to grow your skillset and learn new things.

Cons

No 401K matching. You get out what you put in. If you want to try to just barely skate by, you can, but don't expect to rise through the ranks.

Pros

not much pros. You will realize this company has nothing much to offer withy time.

Cons

The Company lacks professionalism. Its a awful and dishonest company. They mess up your paycheck and when you question it they have a attitude. I found a another position and left the company where I was treated with respect and valved as employee.

Thanks for taking the time to post feedback and my apologies that I didn't get back to you sooner. I'd like to understand your specific experience and concerns. The experience you describe is not the Nexient I am familiar with and I'd like to learn to make sure there isn't anyone having an experience like that. Please reach out to me directly. Thanks, Mark

Work hard, earn hard

Pros

Nexient is a very supportive and welcoming environment. Everyone will offer advice and support you in anyway. Where else can you get paid to learn when you're not on a project? Those who did not learn on their down time, didn't not last. Work hard and always prepare yourself for your next opportunity. What ever your background is, they will give you a chance to prove yourself. Some people claim they don't pay enough. Think about your comment, you were not forced to sign the contract. You read it, understood it and signed you accept. So you can't complain. Secondly, if you do not have experience, portfolio or strong network skills, you won't be offered much. You need something solid to prove your worth. Secondly, those who work hard will often get their contract extended with client, and after review Nexient, will give you pay increase. If for any reason you feel you are worth more, tell them why and prove to them your worth. They will do it if you can demonstrate it.

Cons

The cons are not with Nexient but with the Client. You can't predict how the contract will like or how the client treat you. It can be great, horrible, or so-so. This is an agency so you as a developer has to be adaptable and be willing to adjust. There's no hand holding or "ideal" project. You just need to learn quickly and work hard.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback and apologies that I've been slow in getting a response to you. I'm glad to see you highlight that we are creating an environment that let's you learn and rewards people who are motivated to keep pushing themselves to get better as designers, developers, or product managers. Our goal is to create an environment where you can continue to grow, both through the client work and the other opportunities to learn internally. I appreciate your feedback on focusing on the Fortune 500, but we do work with smaller companies as well. About 2/3 of our clients are enterprise/F500 and the other 1/3 are fast growing technology companies (where we are usually helping them build their software product). Our technology clients range from extremely early stage seed companies, through to publicly traded tech companies, but many of them are venture-backed and still early in their life cycles. We'll keep pushing for more of both: our F500 clients typically have us working on customer-facing apps which push us on usability and our tech company clients also push us on the latest technology and architecture. Thanks, Mark
