Pros

Pays better than the average for Florida. The benefits are very good as well, & facilities are very nice. Mostly very talented & smart people.

Cons

Poor leadership among several people in the Director, VP, & Division President level. This results in chaos & lack of performing the fundamentals & drives an excessive micro management culture. This lots of low to no value added work, & causes extra costs from vendors due to extra reports required / requested. Constant drive to cut costs, but increased demands for extra reports. This puts more work on people left at the company & reduces their work life balance. Lack of a vision then the execution needed to deliver it. This is a huge issue at the VP & Directors and causes chaos among the managers, Leads, etc. to chase lots of incorrect goals & perform lots of excessive rework. For a company lead my an ex-GE executive one would believe the company would embrace Lean Six Sigma & Six Sigma. However, if you see inside & see all the rework one would conclude the company says "they do", but reality is do to poor leaders (who are in roles 1 to 3 levels higher than they should be in) causes people to change proceesses frequently & do excessive rework. Lastly, an abusive / bullying culture. Several leaders in Senior leadership roles are bully's & tend to be abusive of people that achieve the results to allow them to receive their EXCESSIVE Pay packages.

Pros

Great people Awesome location Nice gym Work is sometimes challenging Team oriented

Cons

Project Momentum has really changed this company. Hard workers aren't promoted its all who you know and how much they like you. You are worked hard and there is little work life balance. Pay is not competitive Takes a long time to get things done due to how management is in the "weeds"

Pros

None come to mind. Unfortunately the personnel of this company are extremely arrogant the norm is that you should feel lucky to be working for them.

Cons

The company is run on ignorance. Currently going through "Project Momentum".....asked employees to help company become more efficient with new ideas, then used those ideas to fire said people. Everyone considered "Exempt" is now required to give 5, 10, or 20, hours. Per week of unpaid over time. Be prepared you will work for free. Low level to high level managers who are not qualified to be in the positions they hold. In the job because they know someone. The company is rampant with nepotism, so be careful who you work for or with. Management consistently breaks their own policies while requiring employees to comply. Likened to Walmart: they convince you they are the cheapest place in town when they truly are not. NextEra/FPL convinces everyone they are the best when truly they are not. Personally witnessed women getting in trouble for bringing attention to sexual harassment from co-workers. HR is strictly geared towards firing. The list is endless.
