Pros

- Good base - overall decent work life balance - nice co workers

Cons

Nextdoor used to be a great place to work. I have been here for years now. Sadly, it has gone downhill tremendously. From poor leadership decision making, to poor middle management decisions. For employees that have been loyal to the company, no good equity grants offered to incentives them to stay. Career growth is stagnant. I know a lot of people personally and I can confidently say most are looking for a new job. Revenue is a mess. The company has been trying to work on ad stack forever and still can’t make good progress. Stock is awful, basically no equity compensation. Middle managers are awful, cold, distant, selfish. Poor leadership starts from the top. Sarah Friar handled the RTO very poorly, very confrontational and aggressive/insulting responses to common questions asked by employees. She hiring an awful head of product (Kiran) who tried to turn Nextdoor into Linkedin and failed miserably. CTO does literally nothing related to CTO work and just walks around the office greeting everyone and taking selfies. Sarah made our Chief revenue officer our head of marketing? How does that work? Head of people team just seems like he is happy to have a job right now and stay the ultimate yes man.
