Hello neighbor, thank you for the review. Earning trust is a core value at Nextdoor, and the most important part of what we do is building that trust with our employees and neighbors. We aim to facilitate open, inclusive discussions on sensitive topics as a company and we want to ensure that you have a safe space to freely express your opinion and engage with our people leaders and leadership team. By addressing hard topics in the open, we’re continuing to build a culture based on trust and transparency. If you’re open and comfortable, we'd encourage you to share these concerns to your manager or People Business Partner - we would be happy to address your feedback.

Pros

-the people at Nextdoor are some of the best people I've ever worked with in my career and I really love my team. Our mission and purpose seem to deeply resonate with everyone...people care about the work they are doing here and want to make an impact -personally, I've experienced career development and growth -great office facilities (but, our San Francisco office is in a terrible neighborhood...I even feel unsafe driving to/from the office) -free lunch 1x per week, monthly happy hours -pretty good benefits -great ERGs

Cons

-lack of sophistication when it comes to certain systems/tools/processes -people in leadership or management positions can sometimes take advantage and act as though the rules don't apply to them/they don't follow company processes when the rest of us are expected to -can feel pretty isolating/siloed when teams are hybrid, half remote and half in-office. existing technologies don't allow for productive/engaging hybrid meetings -upcoming 3 days per week return to office policy starting in January for all employees, regardless of team/role (even if your team is fully distributed) -pay could be better -I don't have a lot of trust in management/leadership
