Pros

I started my career journey with Nextiva back in 2010, a fresh and eager professional ready to dive into the world of innovative communication solutions. During my initial tenure until 2014, Nextiva was more than just a workplace; it was a community that fostered growth, camaraderie, and a shared passion for excellence. The culture and people at Nextiva set it apart, creating an environment where every day was both a challenge and a joy. After exploring other industries like mortgages and logistics, Nextiva never really left my mind. The company’s dynamic culture, the warmth of the team, and the endless opportunities for personal and professional growth stayed with me. I kept in touch with the company's progress through social media and LinkedIn, always impressed by its strides and innovations. In 2023, the stars aligned, and I was welcomed back into the Nextiva family, this time stepping into the role of Sales Manager. The homecoming was nothing short of extraordinary. The culture that I cherished had only become more vibrant, and the people, both familiar faces and new, welcomed me with open arms. The technological advancements that Nextiva has achieved over the years are astounding. The company has made leaps and bounds, staying at the forefront of the communications industry. The solutions we provide now are not just advanced in terms of technology but are also intuitively designed to cater to the evolving needs of businesses of all sizes. Returning to Nextiva has reinforced my belief that sometimes, the best step in one’s career is to revisit a past connection, especially when it’s as enriching as Nextiva. The company’s trajectory of growth and innovation is a testament to its commitment to excellence, and being a part of this journey again is both rewarding and inspiring. For those considering a career at Nextiva, I can say from firsthand experience: you're not just joining a company; you're becoming part of a work family that supports your growth, values your contributions, and pushes you to achieve greatness.

Cons

While working at Nextiva, one challenge can be navigating through the multitude of systems and tools required to get the job done. However, this can also be viewed as an opportunity to enhance one’s multitasking and organizational skills. It's all about mindset; rather than seeing these as obstacles, they can be embraced as avenues for learning and growth. By adopting this perspective, what initially appears as a con transforms into a stepping stone towards personal and professional development.

Pros

- Fast paced and dynamic team — very smart and fun people across the entire organization - Recently built HQ office that has great perks (catered lunches twice/week) - Lots of employees have been at Nextiva for 10+ years (or have returned after leaving the company) which proves the strength of the company’s culture - Strong company trajectory over the next 5-10 years

Cons

- At times, it can feel chaotic like an early-stage startup (a pro & a con) — onboarding and training is very limited - Legacy GTM tech stack without foreseeable plans to make upgrades/switches
