Pros

Good salary and decent benefits. Laptop to take home. Salad bar is great when they have it. Attempting to grow. Owners are always available to talk too and are very friendly.

Cons

Trying to be a billion dollar company but wont put the money and resources behind the goal. The IT department is a joke and the software is unreliable. Email and server issues have been going on for years making it hard to get any work done. Most employees are over worked and it's hard to take vacation without being bothered. I believe the owners truly believe in their employees are part of the family but the management who controls your destiny don't hold those same values.

Pros

Dedicated employees from mid-management down. Secured by guards and gates Some really great people work there. They are good to their customers.

Cons

Untrustworthy - If it's promised to you you better get it in writing because they don't keep their word. Upper Management (Directors and Vice Presidents) are replaced almost yearly. As soon as everyone in the department gets on board and things start going good there is a change and realignment and then everything the old VP wanted you to do is insignificant because the new guy has his own agenda. Nicholas used to be a company that cared about their employees, now they care about getting bigger and bigger and trying to take over the west coast. Employees who have worked there for 10, 15, 20 years just disappear one day and there is no word that they even are gone. When you ask the answer is always "they were walked out". They spend so much money on new software and they have a bunch of guys who try hard to fix problems but their software is so messed up. It's hard to do your job when the information being given to you is wrong. Warehouse is a joke, supervisors don't know how to supervise people.
