I’ve had a great experience working as a Clinical Engineer II at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The organization truly values patient care and innovation, making it an inspiring place to work. The biomedical and clinical engineering teams are collaborative, knowledgeable, and always willing to support each other. Pros: Meaningful work that directly impacts patient safety and care Supportive leadership that values employee growth and input Opportunities to work on diverse and innovative medical technologies Strong teamwork and cross-department collaboration Competitive benefits and work-life balance

Cons

Some projects can be fast-paced with tight deadlines, but that’s expected in a hospital setting

Pros

It is not in a congested zone of Miami , less traffic area. Easily accessible. Networking with other departments may help to move departments.

Cons

There is no synchroneity of communication between any levels of management and administration here. There is alot of favoritism and being a brown noser gets you further than education and experience. Administrators are condescending and dont even greet their employees.

401 k plan is great Very little stress Work life balance Great hours

Cons

School health does not get paid for legal holidays, teacher work days, the summer months all do Christmas and new years weeks. School health employees had to use up their actual vacation time to in order to get paid. I didn’t know anyone who had 11 weeks each year of vacation time so expect ZERO paychecks during this timeframe
