Pros

The pros for me are as below: * dressing up at work *potential to make money if you are a great seller *coworkers can be cool, in the office I was at there was generally positivity amongst coworkers

Cons

Okay, so this list will be much longer: *constant changing of rules *management is very unprofessional *inadequate training for staff *pay, if you're new to sales will be min wage *literally you're always on the verge of getting fired-no security *very catty and gossipy amongst management *essentially you're selling dreams to people and they get little in return for their investment *is a little scammy, so if you have a good conscious this isn't for you

Hello, Thank you for your time with Nine9. We are happy that you enjoyed working with your coworkers in our Atlanta Office. We are sorry to hear about your experience while being employed with us. Our Talent Specialist are provided with proper training, including a training manual and support from local Management and Corporate Staff, so what you are saying is not something we like to hear. All Talent Specialist are given an outline of their role an responsibilities, so there shouldn't be constant changing of rules. I will look into your concerns with our Atlanta Management. As far as the "selling dreams", this is not accurate, you worked in one of our largest markets where our talent are always actively being submitted and requested for a variety of projects including TV, Film, Promos, Commercials and more. Most recently our talent have appeared on the Fast and The Furious, "Atlanta, the series on FX, The Originals on The CW and more. We wish you the best and thank you for your review, this information will help us improve on the hiring and training of staff in our Atlanta location and nationwide.

Not What It Seems

Pros

I enjoyed my coworkers and the positive energy the team brought every day. I got to meet so many amazing people through our casting calls.

Cons

I wanted to make an honest impact in the industry. I knew a few months in that if I stayed with the company, that wouldn’t be an effective route. Social media marketers lured people in with assumptions that they’d be auditioning for a specific show or film, when really they were showing up for a speech from the director on why they should invest in a $500 talent package. I realized overtime that the packages we were selling had an abundance of flaws and I no longer believed in the product myself. The system was not setup to really foster these talent but to generate sales and focus on the next round of incoming prospects. They hosted workshops and photo shoots to help with headshots and skill development. However, the overall return on investment was painfully low.

Pros

None, other than seeing talent excited and thinking that I had genuine relationships with the team I was working with.

Cons

I could go on for days... long hours (6day work week), inconsistent pay, constantly getting berated by the office director about sales, no work/life balance whatsoever... everyone here is fake and professionalism is nowhere to be found. They will rip everything from right under you and assume everything will be okay. I did everything I could to be my best and believe in it all, but it didn’t matter in the end. I’ve never been so disrespected by a group of people in my life...
