Pros

I have control over what I teach and how I teach it to my students. I'm surrounded by teachers who care deeply about their students and the subjects they teach.

Cons

My salary is low considering my experience and education level. There are no "steps" for salary--it stays the same unless you negotiate a raise yourself. It's hard to find a work life balance and difficult to imagine being able to be here long term if I started a family of my own.

Pros

After working in a couple different schools, I can honestly say that I couldn't be happier to work at Noble! Every day you are surrounded by a highly dedicated staff and motivated students who inspire you to come to work. In addition, the support you receive from administration is incredible, and I am given many opportunities to improve and develop my teaching skills. Especially unique to this network is the level of autonomy it gives its teachers. Noble provides a truly life changing experience for both students and teachers, and I wouldn't think of working anywhere else in Chicago.

Cons

Like any school that is defying the statistics and doing amazing things with their students, there is a lot of work. However, like I mentioned before, the work is so rewarding that it's worth it!

Pros

The Noble Network offers its staff and personnel a ton of support without being overbearing. Teachers have flexibility and autonomy to provide the best education for the students while also being able to rely on the administration to back them up on even what may seem like an incredibly "out there" idea.

Cons

As many teacher knows it takes long hours and a lot of work to provide low-income students with the opportunities they deserve, Noble is no different.
