Great employees hampered by bad management

Pros

Excellent working conditions, some extremely talented co-workers, focus on educating employees, lots of opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Team leads are decided based on how long they've been in the company or how good friends they are with top management. This means people who are maybe good at their job, but not good at managing people end up leading projects and teams. This also decides whose suggestions are accepted. Usually, suggestions are rejected with the excuse "We know what we're doing" and the company only reflects on problems after big failures. People are let go or leave very quietly. Within the company it's never clear what happens. There was an interview in Forbes where the CEO said that only one person ever left Nordeus which was a downright lie.

Pros

Great Benefits, state of the art office, good people to work around.

Cons

Stuck in their way of thinking, CEO puts on a good show but behind the scenes likes to remind you how "grateful" you should be working for Nordeus, never asked themselves why do expats excel everywhere else besides here?! They look after their own and micro manage everyone else. 1 successful game in 10 years tells it all.

Pros

Good office space, breakfast, lunch, game room.

Cons

Pretty much everything. Top management doesn't know what they are doing, they are hiring their relatives and friends, just because they don't want to hear a different opinion. They are hired without any test or interview, while on the other hand they are promoting "the hardest interview process" and "hiring only the best". I was present in a meeting where a person asked why the department in question wasn't consulted when deciding on something that directly involves them, he was fired in a month time! CEO has the biggest ego around and doesn't listen to anyone. Which would be cool if we actually know what he's doing. They fired without any reason 40 people last year just because they think that employees are responsible for Nordeus not publishing a single game in 5 years (they published one broken game and closed it in two months). That's why every member of the management should be fired, not the employees.
