      Retail Management Intern

      Pros

      It was a cool summer job to have. I love clothes and that was super fun. You work on commission so that is good if you are good at sales.

      Cons

      Working on commission in a retail environment kind of sucks. I was supposed to be a management intern and I spent most of my time selling clothes like anyone else. You do have a few more perks than the regular sales people. But as far as retail management internships go, this one kind of sucked.

      Not what it seems..

      Pros

      They hire some awesome stylists and I made a lot of great friends working there.

      Cons

      Pretty much everything else. There expectations are ridiculous and if your not on top they do not care about you. You work insane hours and get paid nothing because the commission tiers are too high to reach. It is a toxi environment and is not how they make it seem in your interview. It will take years for you to get a promotion which is really not much different then what you were already doing. I could not be more happy that I am out of there.

      There are none. Maybe free bagels once a month

      The most cliquey workplace I've ever seen. Even my two managers in the copy writing team (production) rarely said hi to you if you ever run into them in the kitchen or in passing by. Definitely feel that the culture trickles down from upper management. It was pathetic. the turnover rate on our team was so high. I was on the copy team for less than a year and I saw so many people go in and out. All the people I know that worked there in 2016 now no longer work there.
