Pros

Fast growth All employees are really nice Great benefits Commission style compensation Schedule flexibility Goal oriented Flexibility to run your own business Cross sell from department to department

Cons

Upper mgmt. is popularity contest, achieving and surpassing goals has no impact only how much you kiss a$# The distinguished employees are one's with most input, not necessarily with the best performance Slow seasons, which fluctuate your pay Returns which throw you in the negative range, most you have no control over and you have to work all day just to break even No praise for a job well done, all you hear are the negative and demeaning feedback Working over-time and taking on more responsibilities for others during event/sales goes unnoticed Upper management will tell/do whatever is in their best interest and not for whats interest for all (entire store)

Pros

Everyday is different, and you have the opportunity to interact with so many people on different levels each day. There is a 20-33% employee discount that can be used and the company promotes from within.

Cons

The hours are challenging, especially if you do not have seniority. Expect to "Clopen" (close and open the next day). Also during the big sales, you may work until midnight setting up for a shift. Sometimes, the management does not communicate their ideas or has trouble delegating which decreases efficiency.

Pros

For most part company treats employees with respect. By far the best retail environment I have worked in. As long as you are in a good department, you can make some pretty decent money by retail standards.

Cons

Some employees are allowed to get away with what should be unacceptable behavior because they have been there so long. Yes, they produce numbers, but that should not excuse a documented history of bad behavior and outright nastiness to coworkers.
