Pros

Nordstrom is a great company. I would recommend anyone to work there. Nordstrom promotes within the company so there is a sense of exclusivity. I have learned the value of great customer service, using my best judgement, and becoming a fashion expert.

Cons

I could not balance college and working at Nordstrom at the same time. Sometimes my desired work hours clashed with management.

Pros

Comission can be a beneficial pay as a younger person. Promotion with in is generally a good concept because the longer you dedicate yourself to the company the better chance you have at moving up within it.

Cons

Comission pay as a professional career it is dissatisfying and unreliable. A lot of unprofessionalism in department managers in my experience and others I have spoken with.

Pros

-Amazing company to work for. Commission is excellent. Promote growth from within. Provide great incentives to sell merchandise and client development.

Cons

The return system used needs to be more on target with other retailers. They take back virtually anything and at times this makes for a tedious process and shoppers tend to abuse this policy.
