Fast Paced Company with Room to Grow

Pros

Fast Paced, very collaborative, values opinions and will implement your ideas. Cares about the health and well-being of their employees-most of the workforce is still 100% remote.

Cons

Sometimes work life balance can be difficult. As much as they want to provide you balance, there is just a lot of work and projects that need to get done. Run very lean.

I was encouraged by your recent review and want to thank you for sharing your feedback. I am happy that you have felt our push to solicit and, even more importantly, act upon feedback from our team members. We have been able to really move the needle in health, wellness and especially mental wellbeing thanks to great suggestions and pointed feedback from our team members. Since, as you mentioned, approximately 98% of our workforce remains remote, its more important than ever to over communicate and intentionally reach out to each individual and "check in". Thank you for your "Con's" feedback as well. While we have made great strides in wellness, we know that many team members - especially those that are remote and tend not to 'shut down' at the end of the normal work day - are still struggling with balancing work and life. We tend not to refer to it as balancing anymore, but more of blending work and life. Since you are a current team member, I encourage you to reach out to your HR BP or to me directly if you have any potential solutions for helping our team members work on more effective work/life blending...I am all ears and we know we can always do better. Thank you again for taking time to respond, we are grateful for your feedback and happy that you are satisfied with NAB!

So many REALLY NICE employees!

Pros

Collaborative and results-oriented culture; employees who will help you with anything you need. Impressed that C-Suite openly recognizes individual departments for their efforts. Strong focus on communication and inclusive culture.

Cons

Haven't seen much in the way of cons. Pay is not terribly competitive (but benefits are really good and work/life balance is worth it).

This is such a great posting, and I love your tag line...if there is one thing I hear over and over it is how NICE and HELPFUL the team members are at NAB. We really do have amazing team members and as the levels of collaboration, communication and innovation increase so does the strength of the relationships and the realization that we have a lot of cool, talented people working hard to make NAB successful. I am so happy that your first year with NAB has been positive and you are finding the support nd resources you need to balance work and life which is critical. I appreciate your "advice to management" and will share this idea with Jim Parkinson, Kirk Haggarty and David Greenberg to see if we can find a way to keep our leaders informed AND share business updates and important information with all team members, it is beneficial. Thank you again for taking time to share your positive feedback, we are grateful.

Great Place to Learn & Great People

Pros

- Great place to learn new things, work on a variety of projects, and get exposure to all levels and areas of the organization - Transparency and communication from the top down has really improved since we went remote due to COVID - Leadership overall flexibility and support to continue to work remotely - Overall just really great and nice people to work with - Great work life balance

Cons

- No defined career path/structure (top performers rewarded) - PTO & Bonus structure could be more competitive - Those with a "that's not my job" mindset or a likeness to bureaucratic organizational structure/culture might not do well here

I love that you have been working at NAB for more than four years and felt passionate enough about your experience that you took the time to post this feedback on Glassdoor. We don't take that for granted. I agree with you that we have GREAT people at NAB...some of the best I have ever worked with or for. Thank you for your "advice to management" suggestions. We have increased our training and development presence and are excited to offer more than our usual technical training. This is a new development for us but already we have had some strong wins with BELONGING@NAB and Leadership Development training...much more to come in 2022! We have a strong belief that leaders drive culture and team members determine on thier own experience how much 'discretionary' effort they chose to give. At NAB I find so many team members go above and beyond, but we owe it to them to continuously improve upon our culture as well as the other aspect of work that rewards that discretionary effort such as variable pay for performance, ongoing development, workplace flexiblity and a focus on wellness. We are committed to getting better every day and feedback like yours makes it all worth while. Thank you again!
