Great people, facilities, and flexibility

There was a big divide between dev and ops, both wanted to do great things but neither wanted to talk to the other.

We appreciate your feedback, thank you for taking the time to post. I am so pleased that you listed people, facilities and flexibilty as "Pro's" for working at NAB. I see that you worked at our Troy facility which is beautiful...but its the people that make NAB a truly great place to work. Thank you for that! As far as your "Con" is concerned, I reached out to Jim Parkinson for help in addressing your concern. I am sure you know Jim, our CXO, and his response is listed here: " Historically in engineering and operations, all companies have had to deal with this problem. At NAB, we have closed this gap, and we continue to close the gap every day. In complex systems that need to be up 100% of the time, there must be communication between the people who build our services and the folks that run them. This is an equal and critical partnership. The IT and Engineering leadership teams are committed to closing that gap; if any team member feels that it is not closing, we encourage them to please work with their leader to ensure that communications are happening. I also tell our teams, "If you hit a roadblock, come to me directly." I am 100% sure you will find that the entire leadership team wants to continuously improve and will respond positively to those communications. Thank you." - Jim Parkinson CxO

Thank you for taking the time to write this comment. I truly appreciate the "pro's" you highlighted here as we are very fast paced environment which is exciting AND we do our best to recognize and reward performance. We recognize that our talent at NAB is not only valued by us internally, but it is seen as valuable externally as well. We provide exposure to cutting edge technology and creative projects that you just can't get any place else. While working on cool projects and technology is rewarding and fun, we need to be competitive with compensation as well, so that stays a focus for us. The 'con's" mentioned in your review are concerning, though. I wish I had more information on how you are defining toxic, but I will share that we have a focus on reviewing the leadership talent we have and putting clear, consistent, intentional development together to support them. I have no doubt IF we truly have toxic leaders, this review process will flush out issues and help us continuously improve. Thank you again for your comments, I appreciate your time.

Training is minimal, be aware you're supposed to perform in 2 weeks with minimal training or mentoring.

Thank you for your feedback on your time with us at NAB. I completely agree with you that we have some of the coolest team members at NAB! I can honestly say this is one of the best teams I have had the privilege to support in my career. Unfortunately, there was very little information shared on when you were employed by us or even what your role or function was. I would love to be able to address the concerns you shared around training and mentoring, but I have no idea where to start. I can tell you that training is a critical component for any company in the FinTech space, and NAB is no exception. As you experienced, technology changes quickly and we need to adjust, adapt and innovate. This speed of change requires continuous training for our team members on what's new and next in payment technology. I am committed to sharing your feedback with our leadership team as we continuously re-define our training strategy and needs. I apologize if you felt your training was inadequate and didn't feel comfortable telling your leader that you perhaps required more training to be successful in your role.
