      Pros

      Good salaries and benefits. Upper management seems to be trying to change the culture- not successfully, but trying.

      Cons

      Chronically understaffed departments.. Promotions not based on merit- it's who you know. Mid- and low-level management woefully undertrained in HR and leadership skills. Management does not care. Management tends to pass the bucket- no one is responsible for making decisions

      Pros

      Most shifts are 7 on - 7 off, which allows for picking up extra shifts (one can even go outside Laurelwood and cross train anywhere in Northeast Georgia Medical Center) or for taking week log vacations.

      Cons

      No cons that one won't find anywhere (e.g. employees thinking they know what is best and thus not allowing themselves to learn and adjust, gossip, some employees are burnt out, etc).

      Salary, benefits, It feels sometimes the organization throws money at unnecessary causes and none where it is really needed.
