Pros

Huge organization with clout in healthcare market. A true integrated delivery system, with health plan. There are some really sharp and hardworking people.

Cons

Not loyal to employees - not only my own story, but know of many others.. Incredibly bureaucratic, political and nepotistic organization, at least in my area.

Pros

The pay and the time off. Counting holidays it's something like 8 or nine weeks.

Cons

Great pay and benefits is so management can treat you like a super human. No bath room breaks because you have to respond to an emergency. No meal because you have to go handle emergency. You can't go home because you have to respond to an emergency. Basically, if you are walking out of the building and haven't squeeled your wheels to run home, you WILL be forced to respond to an emergency regardless of how many hours ago your shift ended. It's pretty obscene....

The ability to have a stable job position translatable to outside the system.

Cons

Too much favoritism. Too slow to recognize and change middle management when there are apparent problems. Way too much change too often, sometimes to the point of change just for change sake.
