Morally wrong entry level pest company.
Pros
You can show up with a good attitude, and they will pay for you to get your liscenses, and everything you need to work. You get to take the truck home every day, and keep it for weekends. There are bonus structures in place to make extra money if you can play the system. You WILL have minimum 40 hours a week, they provide all the basic necessities to complete your job duties. Field staff are all fun to talk to and be around, a good friendly environment (has its drama). This is an entry level pest company, they'll get you on your feet in the industry, and you can either grow, or make money in a commission based pest control company elsewhere.
Cons
Northwest Exterminating is in a current transitional period, and things may change but at the current moment I do not feel morally aligned with this company. FIRST OFF THEY GOT RID OF THE QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT, AND AFTER ALMOST A YEAR JUST REPLACED IT WITH ONE GUY IN A DIFFERENT STATE. no sense of caring about quality of anythinh. These are other problems i had. Negligence of accounts because "the customer hasn't noticed", providing 1.17% raise to high level technicians for annual reviews, constant pressure coming from corporate "Anticimex" which causes poor decisions being made in the company to keep up with merits, safety not being a high priority (sending new technicians to killer africanized bee calls by themselves with just on the phone training). The field on-boarding is horrendous w/ the current trainer. You will be trained on maybe 5 stops, while your trainer sits in the truck on his phone while you do his work for the next 10 days, management is aware of this, and there are better trainers available, but this is what they choose for the company. They also have SMART Technology, you will NOT be trained on it, maybe just once in the office, and the sensors will be broken, missing, and everything in between, so be ready to deal with extremely frustrating neglected equipment. NW Exterminating in my opinion is nothing, but check collectors w/ backpack sprayers. If you need a job and there's nothing else, try it, but do not give them your full effort as you will be wrung out, and they will not compensate you for it. After lots of disappointment, hopefully I never have to come back.
