Pros

There is generally a strong work/life balance, and many colleagues are genuinely supportive and enjoyable to work with. Some departments offer flexible and understanding management, and many leaders genuinely care about employee success and development. However, the traditional company structure can make it challenging to properly recognize and retain high-performing individuals, which sometimes results in strong talent moving on.

Cons

Decision-making tends to be very slow, and communication from leadership could be significantly improved. Compensation feels outdated and not reflective of current cost-of-living standards, and there was little to no structure around raises or performance evaluations. The environment can feel male-dominated, and advancement often seems based more on personal connections than merit. Trust can be a challenge, as sharing concerns with the wrong person may have repercussions, making open communication difficult. Additionally, some issues aren’t always addressed appropriately, even when multiple individuals raise concerns about the same situation.

Pros

Flexible work schedule depending on your role. Company vehicle, phone, and computer.

Cons

You essentially have to be here for at least a decade before getting a promotion. And in a lot of cases, that promotion comes with less pay but more responsibility. They show zero desire to increase pay. There are no bonuses. When the new president stepped in a few years ago, the culture shifted...and not for the better.
