      Thier lure is beach life, WATCH OUT for NHRMC

      lately, with the theory by upper management that employees are expendable, there is a prevailing attitude by management that we RN's are "lucky " to be working at NHRMC. Ive was currently employed there for over 6 years and was told by my director when asking about staff shortages-"you can leave if not satisfied", and this was at the start of the supposed open door policy meeting.

      Cons

      down sides- 1) The common RN ratio's are 7 or 8 patients to one RN, although they say its not guaged by that, it's supposedly guaged by "productivity hours". which simply means that if your not busting you ass, then your sent home to use accumulated PDO days.- there are many more downsides, but that is the main one above BEWARE of this hospital.

      I have worked in many different operating rooms and have experience in the OR. Novant is the first place I’ve worked at that the OR staff has to pull cases for the next day (OR staff will understand what I’m talking about) there should be case pullers, not OR staff, that should be pulling cases. That’s how it is an any other hospital system. Also, you will be forced to float to other facilities and work in an unfamiliar environment, which is extremely unfair to OR staff. Management is very sketchy and shows favoritism to certain employees. I would not recommend working here, pay isn’t worth the stress. There are better operating rooms to work at out there.

      Terrible Company

      Pros

      Benefits are great compared to the competitor.

      Cons

      Terrible and greedy CEO who pockets all of money. Senior management who cuts bonus programs for certain departments, but allows others to continue to get it. If you are not a nurse or MD, you don’t matter, you are just there to make the company money and pay the higher ups salary. That’s it.
