      Pros

      Some great people, especially at the middle manager level. Opportunity to capture a huge new market in Auto body sheet (which they are squandering).

      Cons

      Poor and weak leadership. Very regionally focused and parochial, so little hope of ever becoming a global company. Some business leaders do not understand basic business concepts that prevent them from effectively managing the business. Customer performance measures are abysmal, but company feels achieving forecast is more important.

      Sad to see what Novelis has become

      Pros

      Still have good manufacturing assets and some good people.

      Cons

      The culture of this company has become toxic. Many talented people are leaving and they seem oblivious to the fact that they have a problem. Many senior managers are incompetent and treat people terribly. HR is a joke. Cutting retiree benefits so many people that have put in 30-40 years now have to deal with health premiums 3-4 times higher than what they had. After many years of dedicated service I was treated terribly. Absolutely 0 loyalty anymore. Customers see this change for the worse and wonder what is going on. But it only gets worse.

      Upper management struggles to come to grip with how to manage people. With the newly announced policy changes with vacation, pay as well as the safety absolutes employees are actively seeking union representation.
