Cons
Somewhat mundane work, feels more like a quality control lab than an R&D center. HR keeps trying to "improve" morale with changes that do more harm than good. Who doesn't want extra rungs added to the promotion ladder?!? You need to be working well above your current level with added responsibility for a number of years before you will be considered for a promotion. Typically a promotion would come at the same time as added responsibility, not here. For the most part the project managers get all the glory, instead of the folk further down the org chart who are doing the real work. All the real opportunity for upward movement is at middle management and above. You need to really excel to be noticed in the trenches.
