Pros

Decent pay. Free soda and snacks in the break rooms.

Cons

Novelis is worried about their turnover rate so they give you a high salary with a bad title to essentially "trap" you and keep you locked in place from ever leaving the company and getting a better job elsewhere. If you didn't go to a tier 1 university forget about ever getting promoted unless you're good friends with middle and upper management. Also, get use to 2-3% raises every year. You will also spend half your day in meetings.

Pros

Good Salary and Benefits Great Offices Great Holiday Parties Challenging Work Smart Co-Workers

Cons

Management team that is solely focused on themselves and not on the development of the team under them. Unfair performance reviews - would wait until the annual review to tell you much you suck and give you a crappy performance rating. Overlooked for positions in favor of management hiring their friends from their previous companies Career Advancement seemed to only happen for Directors and above, or the personal friends of a certain crowd. High Turnover

Time for HR to be Outsourced

Pros

Free drinks, air conditioning, restrooms always have toilet paper

Cons

Promotions and raises are given very sparingly, even though earnings have been great for the past few years. HR uses the excuse that "India wants us to keep salaries down", yet the number of HR employees is constantly increasing, and they are the ones who get promotions and raises. The HR department is filled with unexceptional people. Morale would increase, and the company would save money by outsourcing. One HR person who's been there only 2 years was recently given a huge promotion, even though very few people have anything good to say about her. The company sends out surveys, but since employees know that their responses aren't anonymous, no one bothers to give honest feedback.
