Pros

You're able to work with great minds and make some good friends along the way. There's space to try new things and work both autonomously and collaboratively/cross functionally. The products are good - it's rewarding to work for a company that genuinely cares about the customer and their hair wellness journey. HR has recently done some good work on values, performance management, etc. A sign that the company is moving into a different stage. Good path to different opportunities. Solid perks and benefits.

Cons

The company would benefit from having some more process and structure in place. Some people may think these things are "too corporate" but it makes life much easier, and will allow us to continue to grow in the most sustainable way. We have to continue walking the walk when it comes to practicing and living wellness. Respecting people's boundaries (time, energy, space, etc.) is key, especially while working remotely. Nutrafol has experienced different waves of growth within the last 2-3 years, so growing pains are expected. However, at this stage, the company needs to focus more on culture, initiatives to keep morale up, diversity efforts, etc. HR has begun work on these things, so I'm fairly optimistic.

Pros

Everyone is really nice Paid lunch twice a week Quarterly bonuses Free products and swag WFH stipend $150 Joon credits to use monthly

Cons

Misleading PTO. When I applied, the application said unlimited time off. After signing on, it changed to flexible. Turnover is high. Continuously changing promos that confuse employees and customers. Upper management claims they value the customer team but we get the bottom of the barrel benefits and ignored whenever we have ideas that will make a position impact on the company.

Pros

You'll meet with some of the smartest and most driven people you've ever met. Great benefits. Great bonuses.

Cons

Lots of politics and drama. I witnessed multiple layoffs while working here, which is incredibly stressful. Your experience at Nutrafol will depend entirely on the team you're working for.

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback, and we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the cross-collaboration with your co-workers, and found our benefits package to be attractive at Nutrafol. Nutrafol has not done any layoffs in the past two years, however we have restructured teams to ensure we're meeting goals and so we can support the business. We do understand these shifts cause workloads to increase, and we encourage everyone to do regular 1:1's with their managers to ensure a sustainable work load. Your feedback is taken seriously. Please reach out to anyone on the People Ops team if you would like to address any further concerns.
