Pros

Great people, lots of room for advancement - fast growing company. This is a company that is growing even in a recession. Fair to employees and everyone I have been in contact with is very nice. They know that family is important and they work with you as much as possible when unexpected things come up - to me that is priceless.

Cons

Slightly lower compensation than I might get elsewhere, but the security is worth it!

Pros

Career Opportunities after CSK purchase.

Cons

Becoming a larger company has made the average office worker feel like just another number. No recognition for a job well done. There seems to be more and more of a disconnect between the employees and Senior Management. They seem to want more and more work out of you - "all take and no give". Communication is starting to suffer in the Corporate Offices.

Pros

O'Reilly Auto Parts is a great place to grow your professional and personal career. There is plenty of room for advancement opportunities and a real family attitude from all management. There is not a requirement for a college degree, so anyone with a good work ethic and a good head on their shoulders can go from driving a delivery truck to running their own parts stores in a matter of a year to two years. As far as the upper management is concerned, they have great support in the corporate headquarters willing to help anyone with anything from benefits to looking up parts.

Cons

A little on the lower scale of the pay grade
