Horrible place to work

Pros

You can literally do what ever you want with it being fired

Cons

This place is pretty bad, the filth in the store and all the vehicles is insane. The manager is basically burning the place to the ground. They overwork and under pay. The manager will get upset at drivers for bringing returns from shops when that’s our job. The district manager will call and say to sacrifice service for hours when it’s time to make labor goals to hit their bonuses. It can be 110 out side and they won’t even offer to buy the drivers water or Gatorade. Gotta make those sales! It’s all money and numbers. Good employees turn to bad ones because too much pressure is put on them to handle everything while everyone else plus the manager does nothing. Late to work every day, manager included. He will even change your time card without even telling you. Employees do no call no shows all the time, use company vehicles for things they shouldn’t. It’s just a crappy place. Good employees are punished while the bad are rewarded. Completely backwards. The morale of the store is horrible, most employees hate it there. Benefits are pretty crappy compared to other places, extremely high cost for low coverage.

Pros

Felt like being in high school again. But the best perk of working at Oreily's is the discounts you get on purchasing auto parts your self - and you can even use your employee account to give discounts to your family and friends... Every body or at least most people take advantage of this perk (even my old manager)

Cons

Minimum wage - No increase opportunities in pay raise. Male dominated. My last manager actually spoke openly about his hiring prospects as he would only hire males (no women). Prejudice towards minorities. Never cry out or call HR department claiming "sexual harassment" because when the cavalry comes to investigate instant 'retaliation consequences emerge'. You will be transferred to another store - and no consequences will be impended on your harasser especially if they were in management. Overall this may be a good gig for a high school student who is taking a shop class or college student interested in mechanic work.

Pros

Managers conference where they spend 100's of thousands to get managers drunk and waste money on motels, flights and food for thousands of unqualified managers and salesmen and nobody cares or when they have outings like a camping trip nobody wants to attend so Spend that money on raises for your night countermen making 8.25 and hour stealing from you to feed their children.

Cons

Open way too late. Never staffed appropriately and blames it on the store manager the employees don't want to work for 8.25 per hour and call them all day to come in and cover shifts and have your over confident bully RM pick on starving employees all day about dust on on a door handle or bird poop on a curb. Low low low...
