Pros

Pay is decent for staying home.

Cons

This was, by far, the most stressful position I have held in my nearly 20 years in sales. Over the course of my career, I have worked for six different sales organizations, and this experience stands out for all the wrong reasons. The company consistently prioritized franchise relationships while treating independent dealers poorly. The arbitration policy, in particular, resulted in a significant number of disputes and dissatisfied customers. I experienced an unusually high volume of upset clients and ultimately lost several accounts as a direct result of this policy. On numerous occasions, I was subjected to verbal abuse from dealers, yet the company failed to support me and, in some cases, appeared to reward poor behavior if minimal business volume was present. Over time, this led to a situation where I genuinely felt sympathy for independent dealers who were negatively impacted by company policies. After my resignation, these issues unfortunately continued in the form of delayed and incomplete payment of my final wages. Under Texas law, final pay is required within six days of resignation. Nearly three weeks have passed, and I have still not received my full compensation. Additionally, the PTO policy contains loopholes that have been used to avoid paying earned wages, mirroring the same lack of transparency found in the arbitration process. This period has been extremely stressful, and the manner in which these matters have been handled has been deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this position or organization based on my experience.

Pros

Good coworkers and decent benefits

Cons

I had never intended on working here for long, since I planned on going to grad school after a year of work, but found that I did enjoy working here for the first few years. As huge changes came to the company, additional support to get some of the ground level employees through it never came. We have been expected to do more and more and more with less and less and less. I have had some support from my direct managers, but next to zero support from above.

Pros

Great co-workers, good apps, pretty simple demands.

Cons

1099 is the game with not so good compensation. Vehicle allowance is based on 2013, far behind actual cost. Chase all day in snow, rain, ice or heat trying to beat out a sensible days wage, it’s impossible. Travel time is not compensated, some days that’s 3 hours. Paid per vehicle @ $23, each takes 45 minutes in the winter and 35 minutes in good weather. Average 3 to 8 cars daily, at days end you worked for $12.50/hour. FYI - any miles less than 80/day are on the employee - robbery.
