Pros

Pay and benefits are the only reason to work here.

Cons

No more direct hires for production. All hiring is done through temporary service. Expect to be employed as a temp for at least 2-5 years before before being offered direct employment. Excessive overtime. Six to seven days a week. 50 to 60 hours per week. Have to use vacation days to get a weekend off.

Pros

Good Reasons to work at Plastic Omnium: • Challenges at Plastic Omnium for Continuous Improvement never ending, Kaizen, Visual Steam Mapping team is the greatest • Associates hard worker, and passionate about their job. • Good to see at Plastic Omnium, associates that have been a part of this since company opens its doors. • Maintenance is well trained at Plastic Omnium, always has weekend scheduled downtime for PM to ensure that machinery, and is ready for next week of production.

Cons

Management needs to step up and fully train, coach, and motivate each employees to understand their full potential of what their job title is and create work instructions

Pros

There is some training when you begin a new position. SOME people are more patient than others. Good pay, good benefits, my work-life balance was not an issue. Understanding and flexible as long as you are getting your work done.

Cons

Too many cliques. When a group decides that you are not worth the time, you are cut out, no explanation. This affects work performance and morale. If they do not like you personally, you will not succeed. Gossip is an issue, whether it is about long-term employees or new. Lots of turnover, in my opinion. Stressful work environment.
