      Growing Medicial Organization In the Heart of a Growing City

      Pros

      Employees are friendly, compassionate and truly care about OU Medicine's mission. The hospital is growing rapidly and expanding in several areas, including the construction of a new bed tower. This growth means more job opportunities and rapid room for advancement.

      Cons

      Parking strategies can be improved but this should be expected with rapid growth in an area adjacent to downtown.

      Pros

      The thousands of staff who are truly dedicated to the betterment of those patients and family cared for at OUM. The entire system slowly moving towards a fully integrated and optimized healthcare system.

      Cons

      Not unexpected, but a major divestiture and extremely high growth in support areas cause strain company wide. Even the best individuals and teams can only function so well when two thirds or more of a department are less then a year old.

      Pros

      Not for profit hospital with leadership that is caring and patient focused. Work life balance at OU Medicine is very good. It is easy to work at OU and still have a good "away from work " quality of life.

      Cons

      Parking could be improved. The Shuttle service provided from off site parking is nice, but adds extra time to the work day.
