Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you feel there are opportunities for professional growth at OU Medicine. As Oklahoma’s most comprehensive academic medical center, we are proud to offer additional learning opportunities to our nurses in a wide variety of specialties. We agree that OU Medicine is a great place, not just for new graduates, but for all nurses to grow in their practice. Parking and transportation are not an uncommon issues with most large hospital systems across the country, especially those that are embedded within an urban community. We currently provide around-the-clock shuttle service with frequent direct routes to our hospitals during peak times, such as shift change, to accommodate the influx of people during these hours. As we continue to grow, we understand the challenge this presents and are evaluating methods to improve service for our employees and patients alike. Regarding wages, each person’s compensation is carefully calculated on an individual basis with regards to years of experience in similar job responsibilities, internal equity and market data respective to each profession. Recently, our Total Rewards team invested in a valuable market study tool that will allow us to better align our pay structure and merit increases with national and state standards for all professions, including nursing. This market review process is currently underway and recommendations will be made for positions the market data shows we may need to adjust. We believe the future is bright at OU Medicine and we anticipate continued growth and improved service to our community and our employees. We are thankful that you are a part of our journey and wish you continued success.

Thank you for recommending OU Medicine. As an organization, we believe it is important to offer competitive pay and flexible scheduling to our employees. We continue to monitor the trends and stay competitive in these areas and understand that our employees are a vital part of our mission to be the premier healthcare provider in Oklahoma and a national leader in the industry. We are expanding as an organization and our recruitment efforts are growing - we hired a record 1,400+ new employees last year alone. We are continuing to find new ways to increase employee retention, including upgrading and adding new benefits for 2019, such as access to the OU Fit program, increasing wages and PTO. And, while parking is always an issue in crowded downtown Oklahoma City, OU Medicine’s shuttle system offers dedicated shuttle service for each hospital during peak-hours for employees who park off-site. As OU Medicine continues to grow, we are thankful for employees like you who are invested in the mission of our organization. We wish you the best in your career and hope you will continue to recommend OU Medicine to others as a great place to work.
