Cons
Staring at the computer is over rated when all patient's have been contacted and 10 out of 12 do not answer the phone. Performance expectations were unclear for a case manager. The work as presented was to complete specific information pages for each class of patient, i.e. Breast and Cervical cancer, emergency room usage, Asthma and a few other groups of high need patients. There were vizio's to guide the timing expectation of contacts. Politic viewpoint was very emphasized. Glenda the manager in Tulsa noted when asked about a nurse she hired, "she thinks like us". "She's one of us. " This is a new position and will be in year two with this contract with the Tulsa HAN and OHCA lasting until December, 2015. The supervisor's there mention a desire for a regional case management center. And the cases originated from the OHCA. Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA). The work environment was amazingly critical from day one.
