Thank you very much for taking the time to review Oberto. Your input and feedback is vitally important to us. For our employee’s personal safety and health, it is important that they take appropriate and regular breaks while working. Therefore, we provide for and schedule rest breaks and meal periods as required by law. Depending on the employee’s work location they may have the option to waive their meal period, however this program is completely voluntary and employees can decide to resume taking meal period breaks at any time. If employees ever have trouble taking their meal period or rest breaks, for any reason, this should promptly be brought to the attention of their manager or member of Human Resources so that Oberto can ensure that they receive the meal periods and rest breaks to which they are entitled. Again, thank you for your feedback. We will follow up promptly to ensure that employees understand their rights when it comes to meal and rest breaks and the meal period waiver program.

Pros

Oberto has a lot of great things going for it. There is finally a strategy in place to develop a solid foundation from which to become the industry leader. The focus is on all of the right things - great taste, quality, product innovation and culture. The company has been faced with a lot of negativity over the past few years, but the light at the end of the tunnel continues to get bigger and brighter. There will always be tough decisions to make. There will always be good days and bad days. I'm proud to work here and know that many other people feel the same way.

Cons

The business environment has been challenging for the past several years. There have been many new entrants into the meat snacks category which keeps competition fierce.

Pros

There are some very nice and smart people you get to work with - you'll learn a thing or two

Cons

The worst management team ever. Nothing gets accomplished - constant blunders due to lack of good management catapult the business further underwater each quarter. The turnover is the worst part. Because no one sticks around for longer than 6 months, no big changes that are really needed ever get made. I implore you to look elsewhere if you're consider working for this company. Most people who join openly express regret over leaving their prior employer within 4-8 weeks.
