Pros

Great co workers, had alot of laughs, great cohesiveness between peers. And bacon jerky!

Cons

The maintenance department is poorly managed. Not approving critical equipment parts requests that were submitted well before the point of failure or approving requests for basic shop equipment that wasent found in the "free" category on craigslist. Thats not a joke either. We spent more time scouring the plant to find some way to perform band aid fixes on the equipment than we actually spent applying that band aid. We did get pretty inventive at times but the stress wasent worth it.

Pros

Oberto's has a very diverse culture and accommodates all. Laborers, machine operators, skilled labor, R&D specialist, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance technicians trainees and SME's, Leadership, sups, managers, directors, sales, marketing and VP's. All working for the same goal. Manufacturing safe, good for you meat snacks. Part of the food chain supply, we are dedicated to continue supplying our customers and the American public with shelf stable long lasting beef jerky. During this vivid crisis, no-one has been laid off or fired. Those with the slightest concerns are self quarantined and are being paid. A USDA inspector is present every hour that we are running inspecting every process very closely. Oberto's normal GMP's before the virus and today include very strick hand washing, rubber gloves, then sanitizer. Nightly sanitation to clean equipment and rooms top to bottom with sanitizing soaps and a USDA inspection. Easily one of the safest places to be and work at during the covid pandemic. We have separated departments, break times, and much more to exercise the social distancing. As the CED changes requirement daily, Oberto's follows all recommendations plus several extra precautions to keep our employees safe.

Cons

Oberto's orders have greatly increased which shows how much the public depends on us to continue to produce. The con being that we were busy before this crisis, we are now very very busy. Pride comes from supplying the world during these times.
