I'm so happy with my decision to join OSJL! The company is growing and offers so much opportunity for career growth and development. OSJL is truly invested in its people! This is a unique retail company with an item driven approach to driving sales results. The people I've encountered have been approachable, knowledgeable and committed to the business. I highly recommend this company!

Cons

Although the company offers low cost health insurance for associates, it does not offer a company match for 401k savings.

Benefits were good, Learned a lot from working with general public, met a lot of great people, each store becomes a family

Cons

pay was not very good, associates are just numbers to the company, don't generally care about their employees, managers showed a lot of favoritism, point system is awful

There is not really much pros about working at ocean state besides the co workers

Cons

Ocean State has a point system that is made up for you to fail. The managers that worked at my store were completely rude and often lied to their workers to get things to go their way. They were constantly making up policies and leaving work extremely early. One manager loved to find reasons to yell at us and would constantly watch the camera waiting for one of us to take a break for a minute then get excited to come out of the office to yell at us. I suggest not working here unless you are a super natural person and do not get sick or enjoy being treated like complete garbage
