Pros

Ochsner is huge, and has many job opportunities. It's fairly easy to get hired as a nurse, and pay/benefits are decent but not as robust as LCMC or the VA.

Cons

The culture is not consistent - I worked on a great unit with great nurses. Friends who've worked in other areas reported horrible, almost hostile conditions. Its one of the side effects of really fast growth.

Pros

IF you're a millennial than you're fine but you best be attractive and be in the right crowd.

Cons

1980-90's policy and procedures married to millennials who lack experience. HR unable to support such quick growth and inconsistent with what does gain their attention. Poor on bonuses, salary and benefits.

Great place to work if you like to suck up.

Cons

Bad place to be if you have the patients' best interest at heart.
