Pros

Attrition slow down Lots new hires

Cons

Ou does not value the people who works, only care about who can talk. In year 18/19, we got 70% attrition rate of engineering team. It ends up with 2 mangers in each team with only 1 eng. After hired lots of new people in last 2 months, still not make up the lost.

Pros

I have worked in the Autos division of OfferUp for about 2 months now. I previously worked at an IT Sales position for 4 years so the switch to OfferUp seemed like an exciting opportunity to be part of something bigger. I was nervous about the career move but now I just wish I had looked into position openings sooner. Pros: -It’s hard to find a business that truly makes women feel welcome and equal. OfferUp makes me feel like one of the people not “the token woman” like other places I have worked. -Everyone here seems...ACTUALLY happy -I feel like I could walk up to anyone in the company and just say hello and that wouldn’t be weird. It’s actually encouraged. -Pay is competitive. People who disagree are expecting something for nothing. -About once a month the ENTIRE company gets together to get a full update on how the company as a whole is doing. At the end, the execs sit on the stage and it’s open mic for questions. They aren’t afraid of criticism or suggestions. Their confidence and open-ness speaks for itself. -Our Managers and Director over here in the Autos division are level headed, encouraging, and will fight for you. I feel strongly that way-and I’ve only worked here for two months. I could ask my director for a meeting and he would make time for me, or for anyone. -If you have a suggestion, you are taken seriously here. -If you find a way to do something better, you are given a green light to explore it -Everyone seems to be super gay friendly too for those who care -We use state of the art equipment. I love that stuff WORKS! And our IT department is FAST to fix any issues we might have. -Lots of snacks and goofy nerf-gun/ping pong/ environment. They provide some breakfast items. I love this place and everyone around me has enabled me to be a better sales-person. I can’t wait to see what we do next.

Cons

-It is true that the inbound calls for the Sales division are being spread out thinner. But management just rolled out a new plan to more evenly spread out those opportunities. -Right not our PTO is capped which could be better but I’d say it’s still competitive -There is no “work from home” policy at this time which is a bummer but oh well -There is not a wide enough selection of hot sauce in the breakroom

Pros

The company has recently beefed up the leadership team, with a new COO, CFO, and CTO. The new leadership has given more organization to the startup and has given the company a revitalized sensation of success. The office is fun to work at, our engineering quality is strong, and I have a strong belief in the future of the company. Compensation is competitive.

Cons

There is constant change within the company with leadership changes and engineering turnover (which has slowed down). Base salary is really good, whereas total comp is heavily built on stock options. Some of the classic startup cons I would say.
