Pros

Management tries their best to make you feel better about the work environment. Most of my co-workers are cool people but there are a couple real flaky ones.

Cons

ICSE program is a bust. The employee turnover rate has become ridiculous since it started. No one wants to listen to people talking in their ear all day and being forced to stalk customers in every area of the store. And really who goes to work to play games? Games are supposed to be fun not forced on you. Every week the rules change. One week it is okay to do something then before you know it you aren't allowed to do that anymore... says Corporate. They have no idea what real work in a retail store is like. One of them should actually spend a day in a store and they will realize that torturing your employees (and customers) is not good business. All of the employees are treated like they are nothing and the poor full time employees... what else can you take away from them? Office Depot doesn't deserve to have me as an employee! Why work hard for a company when you get NOTHING in return but constant nagging and poor pay?

Pros

The people I worked with. Mainly the managers at my store, 2085. The training was very helpful.

Cons

Some of the customers are rude, but that comes with the field of sales. The training was helpful, but long.

Pros

name on resume 10% employee discount can get work done on slow days you can tell when its hyped up lies coming out of corporate

Cons

1-ISCE "journy" = putting all the work on front end and managers to allow the tech and furnature associates to sell to the customers but for no longer than 5 min all associates must quiz every other associate every 60 seconds or so and a lot of paperwork 2- pay is minimum wage with no pay increase unless the whole store does well and no commision unles you double or triple your last years best and only if your the best in a district 3 - corporate has micro-mange-itis 4- if your on the bottom its always your fault 5- copy center is the most demanding section of the store outside of managers because half the time copy center acts as managers
