Struggling to survive and reinvent itself after years of declining sales, management and strategy is constantly changing and the fear of being laid off is ever pervasive. I had a total of 10 bosses in 5-1/2 years which taught me flexibility and resilience, but it wasn't much fun. Lack of defined strategy, too many layoffs, too many really poor managers in high-level positions whose status is determined by politics vs. competency. It's great to align yourself with a leader to help your career grow, until a month later when they abandon the sinking ship and you're back swimming alone and trying not to sink. It was exhausting to work there.

-Pay isn’t great -Management cares more about the customer than employees, to the point where they defend the customer from the employee. -Corporate doesn’t care about the employees, only sales. -Workload can be pretty large, depending on the time of year. -Management will sometimes ask you to work off the clock. -Company is sinking, and it shows.
