Great benefits and melting pot of cultures. You can get your college degree without paying for tuition.

Cons

It's a state job. It's not as grand as people think it is. The salary isn't near where it should be at. Very hard for existing staff to get promotions.

Pros

It is an environment that allows you to make contributions and creative and unique ways. Micromanagement is not existent in my role or office. My direct supervisor is "hands-off" which I love.

Cons

Leadership is lacking. Nothing really gets accomplished in meetings...top leadership in my office unfortunately does not advocate for their employees. As a result, we have had excellent employees leave which has left of office short-staffed.

It is a very good university. Most of the students worked hard, and the teachers are very responsible and patient.

Cons

The surrounding area is not very safe and the parking position is very limited which is bad for local commuters .
