Pros

Mission-driven nonprofit, with world class teachers and learning opportunities. Dedicated staff, and caring work environment. On the leading edge of environmental sustainability. Excellent health care coverage for full time, salaried employees. Many unique perks when the campus is open for its annual guest season (May--Oct).

Cons

Campus is closed temporarily due to COVID-19.

Great place to work if you don't need/want money

Pros

Environment is beautiful, staff is generally friendly and positive. Room and Board included. If you stay on for a full season you may attend a workshop for free. Great people.

Cons

Massive pay gap between seasonal staff, massage therapists and corporate staff. Seasonal staff is offered "minimum wage" that is a recent increase of pay to $250 per week (for full time work) along with room and board. That is 6.25/hr and should cover the cost of your toothpaste and soap while you're there. The living conditions are sketchy. Old moldy trailers which are no doubt a hazard to the health of anything living. The food is marketed as organic, but it's sadly a lie. Only the salad is organic. Nearly all else is cheap, bulk, and likely gmo.

Pros

Great clientele! Most people are pretty relaxed because they are on a spiritual retreat.

Cons

Super uptight management at wellness center. More focused on petty things than keeping therapists in comfortable working conditions. Also, other therapists really competitive and back stabbing. I drove about an hour to work there because I thought it would be a spiritual and welcoming environment. Not so. Just like any other spa I've ever worked, with longer commute and less pay.
