Pros

I'm a fan! Very supportive upper management team. They lead with heart, support the field and the front-line. This hotel company "gets it" - that treating employees well makes for happy employees and happy employees work better. Very focused on development - willing to take a chance on young talent and grow the: I have had three promotions since joining the company and have worked in two locations. They believed in me, gave me the opportunity to prove myself in a totally different division and helped me grow!

Cons

Like any hotel, the weekends and evenings can be a challenge if you are on the front lines. But that comes with the territory. That said, they are pretty good at "life-balance" and respect you.

Pros

Support from upper management Good transfer possibilities Great communication Good review process Kept up to date with the down turn in the economy and how it affects us

Cons

Some of the management plays favorites (like most companies) and some management decisions are not 100% shared by the employees but overall they make good decisions.

Pros

Since Omni Hotels is a young company and a smaller company it tends to have a family atmosphere instead of feeling like you are working for a huge corporation. Employees also can have a piece of mind knowing that they are working for a financially sound company since Omni is privately owned and operated by one billionaire and executives do not have to answer to stock holders. They also have a good management training programm for young managers to the industry out of college.

Cons

Since Omni is a young company they are still figuring out through trial and error how to run a luxury hotel brand. Omni is a financially sound company however their owner is a billionarie not by running hotels but has expertise in a different industry. Omni also lacks international talet and perspective since it operates hotels only in North America.
