      Pros

      Salary is competetive. Standard hospitality pros (discounted stays at other properties) Prestige that comes with the brand name Great promotion opportunity (but sometimes based on wrong reasons)

      Cons

      Empowerment is urged; however, when a decision is made based on the feeling of empowerment if management feels it was an incorrect decision then they make sure you are aware and don' t do it again. Hire and promote based on personal feelings and not based necessarily on professional merit. Talk the talk, but don't walk the walk.

      Pros

      Trust and Empowerment. Was given the ability to make decisions on my own, and the Hotel was better for it. Customers were helped with anything they needed without 'approval' from a manager. Truly a high quality resort and a respectful workplace.

      Cons

      Like all hotels, it is a 24 hour business. Must be flexible with hours. Though back-to-backs were very rare compared with other hotels at which I worked, they do occasionally exist. Weekends and Holidays are not exempt, for new or older workers.

      Pros

      If you understand the meaning of ownership, you can act like an onwer. Can make own schedule. Fair pay. Guest interaction. Empowerment able to make desions without fear of losinlg job . Over all nice staff to work with.

      Cons

      Too little labor allowed to do the standards of service.
