Unhappy at Omnicare

Pros

I liked the overall job, when the staffing level was proper to my functions. Compensation and benefits were great. My coworkers almost made the job worth staying at, even though I wasn't very happy at the actual jobsite. Technology utilization was great.

Cons

Always understaffed. Impossible to use vacation days even when the time was saved up. Also, more and more work was expected as layoffs increased and I was told that medication errors "did not matter". Opening up more shifts would have been helpful, as I was in a nighttime shift with no chance to get out of it. Employees are blamed for going to slowly, even if the technology is not working correctly.

Learn varied skills, time passes quickly since you are so busy that you don't notice the time passing by.

Cons

Never fully staff, always very understaffed. Managers slow to respond to problems. Employees do not feel appreciated by the management or company.
