High School Environment

Pros

Ok benefit package. They have off sites and happy hours. They are a small company trying to be like google or Facebook culturally.

Cons

Very high school vibe. Many young people that engage in childish behavior. Being a bully gets protected by HR if you’re a “yes”person or a “favorite.” They will sell you on great culture but play politics. Many things promised to you up front but never any follow through. When you address it you will be looked down on as a problem. Pay is not great.

We’re glad you enjoyed our benefits + work perks! As a People First agency, our offsites are an important part of the OBE culture allowing our teams to recharge, celebrate their achievements, and level up for the following months/year. OBE strives to create an inclusive environment. An environment where ideas are shared freely, office politics are not acceptable, and feedback is continuous. Although we are troubled to read your cons, we appreciate the feedback. The HR team has an open door/call anytime policy. I would be happy to take a direct message or call if you have additional feedback.

OBE - a strong innovative agency that companies can trust

Pros

OBE is a great place to work. They do exciting projects, have wonderful creative and innovative ideas, have crackerjack production, account, admin, and creative teams and the executives know the business inside and out and provide the resources to produce premiums events. They care about our clients and brands and do whatever it takes to engage the target audience to follow, pursue, and adopt their brands. OBE's technical competence is only exceeded by its client service. When you don't know something or need more hands on deck, all you have to do is ask. OBE is a premium agency for a reason- it's good! dynamic environment, every day provides a new challenge, great people, a family!

Cons

Sometimes multiple events converge and overlap and strain resources, but they get through it. Generous PTO plan and other work perks.

Pros

The people are what make OBE a great place to work. It was not an easy decision to leave, but a unique opportunity came along that offered a better work-life balance. I certainly miss the people, the culture and the excitement of life at On Board. OBE has a tremendous client base, and the group does amazing work that you can be proud of.

Cons

Like with any marketing agency (especially experiential), the hours and client needs are extremely demanding. To succeed in this industry, you have to be willing to work some crazy hours and travel on the weekends.
