Department trainings and opportunity to learn from each other. Project teams that understand the overarching event goals and pitch in to see it to the finish.

Cons

Because we are spread out through 3 different offices with some staff being remote, we don't always get to see or work with one another every calendar year.

Working at OBE has helped me grow my skills in a supportive environment. I have worked at other agencies but none of them have the heart of OBE. Delivering great work for world class clients is never easy but I like the challenge. The people and the benefits keep me here.

Cons

You are held to a high standard but I would not want it any other way. If you like to do rewarding and challenging work, OBE is for you.

Long hours, weekends and holidays included Being treated as a resource instead of an person and a culture that’s constantly reminding you that you are expendable during your daily hours log process. Leadership and HR unprofessional and drinks too much alcohol Cult atmosphere, anyone who says anything critical towards the company is treated like a dissenter. Cliquey high school drama work culture Poor HR and onboarding experience. Employees made to give mandatory positive reviews and votes for various accolades and awards. I wouldn’t trust their positive reviews or culture awards. Generally poorly managed office Holiday offsites are mandatory I was discouraged from reading during my break Segregation-like delegation of work between sister agency.
