Pros

One Inc is by far the best company I have ever worked for. First and foremost, the people are amazing. From individual contributors, to upper management, and every level in between, everybody shares an enthusiasm for the products and goals, and has the drive to achieve greatness for our company and customers. We’re all trusted and encouraged to think big, be creative, and share ideas. No “case of the Mondays” here… I look forward to each day, knowing I have the opportunity to make a difference.

Cons

This may not be a great fit for somebody looking to passively coast along at the office - aspiring lollygaggers need not apply. The pace is fast, the work is complex, and the people are extremely sharp and agile. That said, work-life balance is strongly encouraged. You don’t have to be a “workaholic,” just have the drive and motivation to do your very best while on the job.

Pros

Good people on a team level. Every person I worked with on my direct team was fantastic and personable, they made the work day fun and I have a lot of respect for them. I enjoyed my manager as well and they did seem to truly care about their team. This is certainly a good company if you're looking to grow yourself both personally and professionally. There's always something new to learn and the FinTech industry is rapidly changing. One Inc is a good place to work if you already have a good background in financial technology and want to be at the forefront of this industry. The benefits package is very generous and I really liked the PTO structure.

Cons

It feels like the goal posts are constantly moving and there's always some new process that needs to be implemented across the board right away, which is difficult when there are many different clients in different stages of implementation. While not inherently a con and is generally just part of the job, every position in on-boarding clients is very high visibility and unless you are in a position like Sales, you do not get recognition for the work you put in, which is very disheartening. Additionally, with a process that was constantly being modified, it was quite difficult to stick to a standard process and there was not a lot of grace and understanding that our process was constantly evolving. It's hard to be motivated to continue to learn this ever-changing field if your wins are seldom acknowledged, yet all of the bumps along the way are the only things getting attention. There's always going to be a "thankless job" somewhere along the line, but when you don't feel respected for the work that you do, it wears your employees down and creates resentment. It's incredibly frustrating to work a high visibility job where mistakes are constantly amplified, yet no acknowledgement is given to all the work that's done correctly. It's hard to be inspired to continue to try and excel at your job when you feel constantly disparaged.

One Inc Response

I agree regarding the recognition in Payment Operations when a client goes live. It's a whole company effort. We changed the recognition right away in response to this review. Our goal is to recognize all employee's hard work whenever possible. We focus on positive change and recognition is a key component. Ian

Pros

Really nice people that work at the company overall and good work/life balance.

Cons

The two founders do not know how to run a technology company. The company has potential but needs a stronger management team. The company also lacks diversity.
