Pros

- benefits - nice office - some solid people - extravagant holiday parties (also can be seen as a con since they are $$$) - company reputation prior to the layoffs

Cons

- extremely disorganized internally - lack of future-thinking plans and strategy - lack of transparency - dishonest leadership - workload is often incredibly unreasonable - be prepared to put a ton of work into a project only for it to be put on pause or “pivot” so you have to start over - aggressively acquired companies only to let a lot of the existing staff go - aggressively hired only months before laying off 950 people (25% of staff) - CEO blows a lot of smoke and has a big ego - excuses poor planning and lack of direction as “growing pains” - promised raises, didn’t deliver and instead laid off 25% of the company - boasts about trust, transparency, and “people first” culture when nothing could be further from the truth - watch out for corporate love bombing

Exec leadership is incredibly out of touch with reality

Pros

I was affected by the great layoff of 2022 with almost 1000 people laid off. The people who work at OneTrust are some of the BEST boots on the ground you can ever hire. Senior executive leadership abused their reputations they had to lure in top talent and convince others throughout the company to lure in top talent of which I am still apologizing for putting my own reputation on the line with recommending others to come here. They built a rockstar team and a platform that really is a notch above the rest just because of the blood, sweat and tears of the team who put it together over many late nights trying to hit deadlines for GDPR, CCPA. Having been through a reduction in force before, the exit package was average (if not slightly above average) but little compensation for those of the almost 1000 already going through severe life changes and on work visas (of which MANY OF US are) who need to just find the next job we can as fast as possible.

Cons

Senior executive leadership and the board borrowed far too much money, spread themselves far too thin, and treated employees like furniture. They acquired companies nonstop clearly without solid business plans (hence the layoffs at the first sign of economic hiccup) and hired blindly without a CFO until recently and acquired company after company month after month. Rather than creating a responsible buffer for an economic hiccup where capital might not be cheap, they just fired "People First." They convinced people to work at sub par salaries as one does at a startup but offered very sub par options (which weren't given to everyone until recently in 2022).

Pros

Smart coworkers. Some parts of the product is good.

Cons

Leaders promote very arrogant and disorganized startup culture (coming from top management level). They think product managers and sales team own the company. The attitude within the company is professional services are not important and they can be disposed at any time. If ceo/top management likes someone at professional service team, that person is moved to either sales or product. Do not join the company ever for working in the professional service department (implementation/technical implementation roles). Too much nepotism. Top leaders are immature... does not know how to talk respectfully. They have no long-term goal. Just want to show growth and sell the company.
