Pros
- benefits - nice office - some solid people - extravagant holiday parties (also can be seen as a con since they are $$$) - company reputation prior to the layoffs
Cons
- extremely disorganized internally - lack of future-thinking plans and strategy - lack of transparency - dishonest leadership - workload is often incredibly unreasonable - be prepared to put a ton of work into a project only for it to be put on pause or “pivot” so you have to start over - aggressively acquired companies only to let a lot of the existing staff go - aggressively hired only months before laying off 950 people (25% of staff) - CEO blows a lot of smoke and has a big ego - excuses poor planning and lack of direction as “growing pains” - promised raises, didn’t deliver and instead laid off 25% of the company - boasts about trust, transparency, and “people first” culture when nothing could be further from the truth - watch out for corporate love bombing
