Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It's great to see you enjoyed being a BDR in our Denver office! The BDRs on our Strategy team are such an integral part of our Sales lifecycle, and we're grateful for the work they do. The culture of that team is tight-knit and collaborative, and we're glad to see you experienced that. As a young company, change is inevitable. Couple that with a quickly-evolving industry, and you have yourself a dynamic environment. This is an exciting part about working at OneTrust! No two days are the same, and you get plenty of learning opportunities. We acknowledge that sometimes change is unpredictable, and this is why we encourage our employees to be engaged in the quarterly All Hands, Inside the Numbers, and Culture & Coffee sessions to hear directly from our Executive leadership team. We are on a meaningful path to long-term growth, and we can't wait to see what's in store for OneTrust's people and our future together.

A Disheartening Experience at OneTrust

Pros

1. OK Benefits: OneTrust offers a satisfactory benefits package, providing employees with a degree of security and support. While not exceptional, the OK benefits contribute positively to the overall compensation. 2. Relationships with Fellow Employees: The camaraderie and relationships formed with fellow employees stand out as a positive aspect of working here.

Cons

My tenure at OneTrust has been marked by profound disappointment, prompting me to share my candid insights to help potential employees make informed decisions. The company's claims of prioritizing its workforce are contradicted by a stark reality that has left many employees disillusioned. 1. Lack of Genuine Employee Focus: Despite the outward appearance of soliciting employee feedback through surveys, OneTrust fails to translate this input into meaningful changes. The Glassdoor rating of 2.7 serves as a testament to the disconnect between the company's rhetoric and the actual experiences of its employees. 2. Ineffectual Annual Review Process: The annual review process, touted as a cornerstone for professional development, falls short of expectations. The evident lack of commitment from chief leaders and executives is underscored by two recent rounds of layoffs, creating an atmosphere of job insecurity. 3. Below Market Value Pay: OneTrust's assertion that employee pay is in line with the market is misleading. Pay is consistently below industry standards, and the company's practice of offering promotions without commensurate pay increases reflects a blatant disregard for fair compensation. 4. Trust Deficit: Despite the company's emphasis on fostering "Trust" for its customers, internal trust among employees is severely compromised. Layoffs, unfulfilled promises, and a lack of transparency have created an atmosphere of skepticism and disillusionment, eroding trust in leadership. 5. Absence of Work-Life Balance: The commitment to work-life balance is lip service. Employees across the board report a pervasive lack of balance, contributing to burnout and dissatisfaction. There may be unlimited PTO, but that is all smoke-in mirrors. Some of the new recharge days seem like a good idea on paper, however, this is another way to mask the reality of the culture that is here.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It's great to see that you enjoyed your benefits package and working with your colleagues. We agree that collaborating and forming great relationships with fellow OneTrust employees is one of the best parts about working here. They are driven, smart individuals and together, they are making a huge positive impact on the world. We're disappointed to see that you didn't enjoy your overall experience at OneTrust. Like you said, we do solicit employee feedback through anonymous surveys. This started as a longer engagement survey, which has now turned into shorter, frequent pulse surveys to understand if and how the employee experience changes as the organization matures. We know the employee experience is not perfect which is why we've implemented these surveys, and our leaders rely on the detailed feedback in them to ensure we're moving in the right direction. We have seen a ton of improvement since investing in this and related People team headcount. For example, we brought on a dedicated performance management SME who will build on our first iteration of our performance management process. Another one is that we've brought on dedicated benefits leaders who are enhancing our benefits packages. They created a global standard for parental leave, giving all parents 14 weeks of time to bond with new additions to their families. In direct response to employee feedback, they also introduced better mental health benefits starting in January 2024, and, as you said, new companywide recharge days. We look forward to how these programs and initiatives evolve over time. Ultimately, OneTrust is scaling to position itself for long-term growth. We are a young company in a brand new industry, and that comes with a lot of change and ambiguity. In order to thrive, our people have to do well in a dynamic environment and be super passionate about building and performing meaningful work. We are excited for OneTrust's future. Thanks again for sharing your perspective.
